The Studio Hamburg Production Group serves as a holding company for production firms, and is a market leader in the German film and television landscape in terms of both creativity and economic output. Twelve subsidiaries and associated companies, each with their own independently established market presence, and separated into fiction and non-fiction producers, operate under its umbrella.

The fiction companies are LETTERBOX FILMPRODUKTION, REAL FILM Berlin, NORD FILM and Studio Hamburg UK, as well as AMALIA Film and FRIDAY FILM. SHPG’s non-fictional companies are Doclights, B.vision Media, Riverside Entertainment, Gruppe 5, and ECO Media. The production portfolio covers all major programme segments of the TV, film, and entertainment industry: from long-running series, mini-series and made-for-TV films to TV events and feature films, through to nature films, journalistic formats, a range of talk and game shows, and quiz and award shows.

SHPG’s digital expertise is bundled in its subsidiary ALWAYS ON. ALWAYS ON focuses on the development of innovative formats in the changing media world – from web series and VR projects to apps and platforms.
